GiveN:-

  • The ratio of length and breadth (width) of rectangle is 4:1.
  • The length of rectangle is 64m.

To FinD:-

  • The area of rectangle.

Solution :-

Let the length of rectangle be 4x and breadth of rectangle be 1x or x

But ,

It is given that length of rectangle is 64m.

So ,

4x = 64

 \implies \:x =  \frac{64}{4}

 \implies \:x = 16

 \boxed{x = 16}

By putting the value of x, the breadth of rectangle

 = x

 = 16

Now , we find the area of rectangle.

Lenght of rectangle = 64m

Breadth of rectangle = 16m

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

 { \sf \: = 64m \times 16m}

 { \sf= 1024 {m}^{2} }

Therefore , the area of rectangle is 1024m².
