the length and breadth of a rectangle are in the ratio 5:2 and its perimeter is 98cm .find the area of the regiong bounded by the rectangle.​

=> So Area Formula = Length x breadth

Considering the numbers in ratio

=> 5x : 2x = 5x x 2x

Find Perimeter ::

Formula to be implemented

$2 \times ( \: l \: + \: b)$

=> 2 x ( 5x + 2x) = 98 cm

= 2 x (7x) = 98

= 14x = 98

= x = 98/14

= x = 7 cm

So perimeter = 98 cm

Find Area ::

=> 2x = 2(7) = 14 cm

=> 5(x) = 5(7) = 35 cm

Formula to be implemented-:

$(length \: \times \: \: breadth)$

Length = 35 cm

Breadth = 14 cm

=> 35 x 14 = 490 cm

So area = 490 cm

Perimeter = 98 cm
