Given,

l and b are in the ratio = 5:3

area of rectangle = 1215m²

Cost per m = 15


Let the length = 5x

breadth = 3x


Area of rectangle = lb

5x × 3x = 1215

15x² = 1215

x² = 1215/15

x = √81

x = 9


l = 5x
l = 5(9)
l = 45

b = 3x
b = 3(9)
b = 27


perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

= 2(45+27)

= 2(72)

= 144m



Cost per meter = 15


Cost per 144 m-----

= 15 × 144

= 2160


Therefore, cost for fencing the rectangular garden = rs. 2160
