Question

\large \purple \leadstoThe length and breadth of a rectangle piece of land are 0.7 km and 0.5 km,Respectively. If each side is to be fenced with 4 rows of wires, what is the total length of the wire needed ?

Given:-

A rectangular piece of land with length 0.7 km and breadth 0.5 km each side is fenced with 4 rows of wire.

To Find:-

Total length of the wire rectangle.

Operation:-

Perimeter of the rectangle

Reason:-

The question asks for the total length of the wire.

Let's Solve,

Total length of the wire = 4 × (Perimeter of a rectangle)

= 4×2×(length +breadth)

Total length of the wire = 4 × [2 ×(0.7 +0.5]

= 4 × (2.4)

= 9.6 km

Therefore,9.6 km of wire is needed for the fence.

Given

  • The length and Breadth of the Rectangle and how many rows of wires.

_________________________________________

To find

  • The Perimeter of Rectangular land and Total length of wire needed for 4 rows

_____________________________________________

Solution

Perimeter of Rectangle ⇒ 2 × (Length + Breadth)

Length of Rectangle ⇒ 0.7km

Breadth of Rectangle ⇒ 0.5km

Perimeter2 \times (0.7km + 0.5km)\\\\= 2 \times 1.2km\\\\= 2.4km

∴ Let's find the length of the wire needed

Each side to be fenced with ⇒  4rows

The Total length of wire ⇒ 4  × Perimeter

Length of wire ⇒  4 \times 2.4\\\\= 9.6

The Perimeter of Rectangular land is 2.4km and the length of the 4 rows of wire is 9.6
