3x*2x=3456

6x^2= 3456

x= √(3456/6)

x=24

length= 72 m

breadth=48 m

Answer:

The Length is 72 m and Breadth is 48 m.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Ratio of Length to breadth = 3 : 2

Area = 3456 m²

To find :

The Length and Breadth

Solution :

Let the -

  • Length = 3y
  • Breadth = 2y

Area = \boxed{\sf{Length \times Breadth}}

\sf{\longrightarrow} \: 3y \times 2y = 3456 \\  \\ \sf{\longrightarrow} \:  {6y}^{2}  = 3456 \\  \\ \sf{\longrightarrow} \:  {y}^{2}  =  \dfrac{3456}{6}  \\  \\ \sf{\longrightarrow} \:  {y}^{2} = 576 \\  \\ \sf{\longrightarrow} \: y =  \sqrt{576}  \\  \\ \sf{\longrightarrow} \: y = 24

\rule{300}{1.5}

Value of 3y -

\sf{\longrightarrow} \: 3(24) \\  \\ \sf{\longrightarrow} \: 72 \: m

Length= 72 m

\rule{300}{1.5}

Value of 2y -

\sf{\longrightarrow} \: 2(24) \\  \\ \sf{\longrightarrow} \: 48 \: m

Breadth = 48 m

\therefore The Length is 72 m and Breadth is 48 m.
