Solution -

Let's assume the length as 5x meters

So, the breadth as 3x meters

According to Question,

Perimeter of rec. = 108

=> 2(5x + 3x) = 108

=> 8x = 108/2 = 54

=> x = 54/8 = 6.75

Therefore,

Length = 5x meters

= 5(6.75) meters

= 33.75 meters

Breadth = 3x meters

= 3(6.75) meters

= 20.25 meters

Prove -

Perimeter of rec. = 108 m

2(33.75 + 20.25) m

= 2(54) m

= 108 m

As, 108 m = 108 m

Hence, it is proven that 33.75 m is the length and 20.25 m is the breadth

Assume length = 5x

amd breadth = 3x

perimeter = 108 m

perimeter of rectangle = 2(L+B)

108 = 2(5x+3x)

108 = 16x

x = 6.75 m

Answer :

Breadth = 6.75 m

Length = 33.75 m
