=> Let length of rectangular field be 7R and breath be 4R.
=> .°. Area of path = ( l + b + 2x) 2x
=> Where, x is thickness of path.
=> .°. Area of path = ( l + b + 2x) 2x
[ Put the values ]
=> 416 = ( 7R + 4R + 2(4) ) 2(4) [ °.° x = 4]
=> 416 = (11R + 8)8
=> 416 = 88R + 64
=> 88R = 416 - 64
=> 88R = 352
=> R = 4
Hence,
•The length of rectangular field = 7R = 7×4 = 28m.
• And the breath of rectangular field = 4R = 4×4 = 16m.
