LET THE COMMON MULTIPLE BE x
Then,

AREA OF THE RECTANGLE =LENGTH ×BREDTH.
3456sq.m=(3x) (2x)
6x2=3456
x=24
length,l =3x=72m
breadth,b=2x=48m
perimeter = 240m
cost of fencing the rectangular field = Rs.14400

6x² = 3456 sq.m
x²=3456/6
x² = 576
x = √576
x ⇒ 24
LENGTH = 24 × 3
⇒ 72m
BREADTH = 24 × 2
⇒ 48m
PERIMETER = 2 × ( l + b )
= 2 × ( 72 + 48 )
= 2 × ( 120 )
= 240 m
COST OF FENCING = Rs 4/m
= 240 / 4
= Rs 60
