let the length and breadth be 5xand 3x respectively

then area=5x*3x (l*b)

=15xsq

now cost of cultivation per sq .m=(25paise)Rs1/4

total cost of cultivation =rs6000

then area =6000/4=1500sq.m

dimentions=50 and 30 respectively

The dimensions of the field are 346.41 m and 207.846 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Cost of cultivating 1 sq.m. = 25 paisa = 0.25 rupees

Area cultivated for rs.6000 =\frac{6000}{0.25}=24000 sq.m.

We are given that the length and breadth of a rectangular field are in the ratio 5:3.

Let the ratio be x

Length = 5x

Breadth = 3x

Area of field = Length \times Breadth = 5x \times 3x= 15x^2

15x^2 = 24000

x^2 = \frac{24000}{5}

x=\sqrt{\frac{24000}{5}}

x=69.282

Length = 5x=5(69.282)=346.41 m

Breadth = 3x=3(69.282)=207.846 m

Hence the dimensions of the field are 346.41 m and 207.846 m
