Using Formula

Let,

• Length = x
• Breadth = 6/y,

Case 1.

==> x : y = 7:5

==> x/y = 7/5

==> 5x - 7y = 0_________(1)

Case 2.

==> perimeter of rectangular floor = 216

==> 2(x + y) = 216

==> x + y = 216/2

==> x + y = 108 ____________(2)

Multiply by 7 in equ(2)

==> 7x + 7y = 756 ___________(3)

Add equ(1) & equ(3)

==> 5x + 7x = 756

==> 12x = 756

==> x = 756/12

==> x = 63

Keep Value y x in equ(1)

==> 5×63 - 7y = 0

==> 7y = 315

==> y = 315/7

==> y = 45

• Length of rectangular floor = 63 m
