Given:-

  • Length of rectangular park = 34m

  • Breadth of rectangular park = 26m

  • Perimeter of rectangle = Perimeter of Square

To Find:-

  • Length of the square whose perimeter is equal to that of the rectangle.

Formula used:-

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

  • Perimeter of Square = 4 × Side

Solution:-

Firstly,

\implies\:Perimeter \:of\: rectangle\: = 2(l + b)

\implies\:Perimeter of rectangle = 2(34 + 26)

\implies\:Perimeter of rectangle = 2(60)

\implies\:Perimeter of rectangle = 120m

According to question,

Perimeter of rectangle = Perimeter of Square

\implies\:120m = 4 × Side

\implies\:Side = \dfrac{120}{4}

\implies\:Side = 30m

Hence, Required length of the square is 30m.
