Answer:

Let the length and breadth be denoted as 4x and 3x respectively.

Also given that Area of the plot is 1728 m²

⇒ 4x × 3x = 1728 m²

⇒ 12x² = 1728 m²

⇒ x² = 1728 / 12 m²

⇒ x² = 144 m²

⇒ x = √144 m² = 12 m

Hence Breadth = 4x = 4 × 12 = 48 m, Length = 3x = 3 × 12 = 36 m.

Perimeter of the plot = 2 ( l + b )

⇒ Perimeter of the plot = 2 ( 48 + 36 )

⇒ Perimeter of the plot = 2 ( 84 ) = 168 m

Hence the perimeter of the plot is 168 m.

Solutions:

Let the length and breadth = 4x and 3x.

Area of the plot = 1728m²

4x × 3x = 1728

12x² = 1728

x² = 1728/12

x² = 144

x = √144

x = 12
