The length and breadth of a rectangular plot is in the ratio 3:2. The perimeter is 300m. Find the area.

Answer :-

The area of the rectangular plot is 5400 \:  {m}^{2}

Explanation :-

Let the length be '3x' and breadth be '2x'.

According to the question,

Perimeter = 2 (l + b)

=> 300 = 2 (3x + 2x)

=> 300 = 2 × 5x

=> 300 = 10x

=> x = 300/10

=> x = 30

Length = 3x = 3 × 30 = 90 m

Breadth = 2x = 2 × 30 = 60 m

Now,

Area = l × b

Area = 90 × 60

Area = 5400 \:  {m}^{2}

° The area of the rectangular plot will be 5400 \:  {m}^{2}
