Explanation:

Length of rectangular sheet , L = 5.7 cm

breadth of rectangular sheet , B = 3.4 cm

area of rectangular sheet, A= L × B

= 5.7 × 3.4 = 19.38 cm²

now, use formula to find percentage error in area.

\frac{\Delta A}{A}\times100=\frac{\Delta{L}}{L}\times100+\frac{\Delta{B}}{B}\times100AΔA×100=LΔL×100+BΔB×100

percentage error in area = 0.1/5.7 × 100 + 0.1/3.4 × 100

= 100/57 + 100/34

= 4.69 %
