Perimeter of original Rectangle =2×(20+10) cm = 60 cm

And Area =20 cm×10 cm = 200 cm  sq

Now, rectangle of length 5 cm and breadth 2 cm are removed from original rectangle.

So, from figure,

perimeter of new rectangle =(20+10+(20−5)+(10−2)+5+2) cm=60 cm

Now, area of new rectangle =Area of original Rectangle - area of cut out

= 200−(2×5) = 200−10 = 190 cm sq
