the length and breadth of a rectangular sheet of paper are 20cm and 10cm, respectively. A rectangular piece is cut from the sheet as 2cm and 6cm. what is the area and perimeter of the remaining sheet?​

length =20cm

breath=10cm

therefore,

perimeter =2(20+10)cm

=60cm

area =20×10 cm

=200cm

now,

rectangular cut piece

length=2cm

breath=6cm

therefore

perimeter =2(2+6)cm

=16cm

area =2×6 cm

=12cm

therefore;

remaining sheet

area=200-12 cm

=188cm

perimeter=60-12cm

=48 cm
