d=√3^2+4^2
= √9+16
= 5metre

length ( l ) = 3 m,

breadth ( b ) = 4 m

length of the longest rod placed on

the floor = √( l² + b² )

= √( 3² + 4² )

= √ ( 9 + 16 )

= √ 25

= 5 m

Therefore ,

length of the longest rod placed

on the floor = 5 m
