The length and breadth of rectangular piece of land are in the ratio 5:3 if the total cost of finishing at ₹7 rate per metre rate ₹2800 find the area of the plot

Here,
Total cost of finishing = 2800 Rupees
Rate per meter = 7 rupees / meter

Therefore, Perimeter of field
 =  \frac{total \: cost}{rate}
 =  \frac{2800}{7}
 = 400
Therefore, Perimeter of field = 400 m

Now,
Let the length of field be 5x and breadth 3x
Then, According to the question,

3x  + 5x = 400
 =  > 8x = 400
 =  > x =  \frac{400}{8}
 =  > x = 50
Therefore, length = 5x = 5 × 50 = 250m
And, breadth = 3x = 3 × 30 = 150m

Hence, area of field=

l \times b
 = 250 \times 150
 = 37500
Therefore, area = 37500 m².

=x=25=x=25

=5×25=5×25

=125=125

=3×25=3×25

=75=75

125 unit is the length

75 unit is the breadth

(Area=L×B)

=125×75=125×75

=9375=9375

Therefore, 9375 is the area of plot
