The length and perimeter of a rectangle are in the ratio 2:7 . If perimeter of the rectangle is 14 m ,find the area of the rectanyle​

l be the length, b be the breadth, p be the perimeter

given ,

l/p = 2/7---------(1)

=> l/2(l+b) = 2/7

=> 7l = 4(l+b)

=> 3l = 4b--------(2)

perimeter p = 14<=> l= 4cm ( from (1) )

therefore, b= 3cm from (2)

area of rectangle= l*b

                             = 4*3

                             = 12cm
