Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

Given length and breadth in ratio 5:3.

Therefore, l = 5x and b = 3x.

2(5x + 3x) = 128

2(8x) = 128

16x = 128

x = 8

 l = 5 × 8 = 40 and b = 3 × 8 = 24.

 Area of rectangle = l × b = 40 × 24

Answer:

area = 960 sqm

Step-by-step explanation:

l:b= 5:3

let l= 5x

b=3x

2(l+b)= 128

2×(5x+3x)=128

2×8x=128

16x=128

x=8

l=5×8=40m

b= 3×8=24m

area =lb

= 40×24=960 sqm
