Answer:

Length= 40m

Breadth= 24m

Step-by-step explanation:

lets take length as 5y and breadth as 3y

perimeter of a rectangle : 2(length + breadth)

=     2(5y+3y)

=     2(8y)

=     16y

Perimeter = 16y

128m = 16y

16y = 128m

y = 128/16

y = 8

Length = 5y = 5*8 = 40m

Breadth = 3y = 3*8 = 24m

Answer:

Given :-

  • Ratio of length and breadth = 5:3
  • Perimeter = 128 m

To Find :-

Dimensions

Solution :-

Le the length and breadth be 5x and 3x

 \quad \quad \tt \implies \: 128 = 2(5x + 3x)

 \quad \quad \tt  \implies \: 128 = 10x + 6x

 \quad \quad \tt \implies \: 128 = 16x

 \quad \quad \tt \implies \: x =  \frac{128}{16}

\quad \quad \tt \implies \: x = 8

 \tt \: Length \:  = 5x = 40\: m

 \tt \: Breadth \:  = 3x = 24\: m
