The formula for calculating the perimeter of the rectangle

P = 2 (l + b)

128 = 2 (5x + 3x)

128 = 2 (8x)

128 = 16x

x = 8

the length of the rectangle = l = 5x = 5 * 8 = 40 m

the breadth of the rectangle = b =3x = 3 * 8 = 24 m

Area of the rectangle is given by,

A = l * b

= 40 * 24

A = 960 m^2.
