ANSWER :

Length ( l ) = 8m 50cm = 8.5m

Breadth ( b ) = 6m 25 cm = 6.25m

Height ( h ) = 4m 75cm = 4.75m

Note :The maximum length of the rod that can be placed in a cuboid is along the diagonal. So, the rod of length equal to the diagonal is the maximum length which can be placed in cuboid.

Diagonal \:  =  \sqrt{ {l}^{2}  +  {b}^{2} +  {h}^{2}  }

 =  > Diagonal =  \sqrt{ {8.5}^{2} +  {6.25}^{2}  +  {4.75}^{2}  }

 =  > Diagonal \:  = 11.57 \: m

Therefore, the maximum length of rod that can be placed is 11.57 m

Hope this helps you
