Original dimensions:

The Length breadth and height of a room are in the ratio 5:4:2

A1 = 5x2 = 10
A2 = 4x2 = 8

New dimensions:
l = 1.2x5 = 6
b = 1.25x4 = 5
h = 0.75x2 = 1.5

A3 = 6x1.5 = 9
A4 = 5x1.5 = 7.5

The areas of two walls have deceased in the ratio = 10:9

The areas of the other two walls have increased in the ratio = 7.5 : 8
                                                                                               = 15 : 16

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The Length breadth and height of a room are in the ratio 5:4:2

A1 = 5x2 = 10

A2 = 4x2 = 8

New dimensions:

l = 1.2x5 = 6

b = 1.25x4 = 5

h = 0.75x2 = 1.5

A3 = 6x1.5 = 9

A4 = 5x1.5 = 7.5

The areas of two walls have deceased in the ratio = 10:9

The areas of the other two walls have increased in the ratio = 7.5 : 8

= 15 : 16
