the length breadth height of a cubodial water tank are 7m,6m,15m.if 8400 litres of water is pumped out of the water tank find the fall in the water level in water tank

step:1

volume of Cuboidal water tank =l x b x h =7m x 6m x 15m = 630 m cube

Step:2

Volume of water pumped out of the water tank = 8400 liter= 8400\1000

8400\1000 = 8.4 m cube.

Step:3

Volume of the water left in the tank = 630 m cube - 8.4 m cube =

621.6 m  cube.

Step:4

water level after water pumped out is h.

volume of water left in tank = l x b x h =7 x 6 x h = 42h

42h = 621`.6 m

h = 621.6\42 = 14.8 m

There fore fall of water in the tank = 15 -  14.8 = 0.2 m
