Question ::-

The length of a bed sheet is 200cm and its breadth is 67cm less than its length. Find the perimeter of the bed sheet.

Given ::-

  • Length = 200 cm

  • Breadth = 67cm less than its length

To find ::-

  • Find the perimeter of the bed sheet ?

Solution ::-

• Length = 200 m

• Breadth = 67cm less than its length

• Breadth = 200 - 67

Perimeter of rectangle

= 2 ( length + Breadth )

= 2 ( 200 + (200 - 67) )

= 2 ( 200 + 133 )

= 2 × 333

= 666 m

__________

Perimeter of rectangle = 666 cm

• A = L × B

  • L = length
  • B = Breadth
  • A = Area

Given:

  • Length of bedsheet is 200m.
  • Breadth of bedsheet is 67cm less than it's length.

To find:

  • Perimeter of the bedsheet.

Solution:

  • Firstly, we can see that breadth of bedsheet is 67cm less than it's length.

  • 67cm = 0.67m

→ Breadth = (200 - 0.67)m

→ Breadth = 199.33 m

Now, we have length and breadth of the bedsheet.

Since, bedsheet is in the shape of rectangle.

Therefore, perimeter of a rectangle is given by

☆ Perimeter = 2(l + b)

→ Perimeter = 2(200 + 199.33)

→ Perimeter = 2 × 399.33

Perimeter = 798.66 m

Hence,

  • Perimeter of the bedsheet is 798.66 meters.
