Perimeter of a semicircle is the sum of half of the perimeter of the circle and the diameter. If r and d be the radius and diameter of the semicircle then

1/2(2πr)+d = 36

πr+d = 36

πr + 2r = 36

22r/7 + 2r = 36

(22r+14r) / 7 = 36

36r = 36*7

r = 7

area of semicircle = 1/2(πr²)

= 1/2 * 22/7 * 7 * 7

= 11 * 7

= 77 msq
