Required Answer:

Given:

The length of a cloth is 1 m 12 cm more than its width.

Find:

If the width is 1 m 50 cm , let's find the length of the cloth.

Given:

→ 1 m 50 cm => Width.

→ 1 m 50 cm + 1m 12cm => Length.

→ ( 1 + 1 ) m ( 50 + 12 ) cm.

→ 2 m 62 cm.

→ 1 m 50 cm => Width.

→ 1 m = 100 cm.

→ 1 m 50 cm = 100 + 50 = 150 cm.

→ 1 m 12 cm = 100 + 12 = 112 cm.

→ 150 + 112 = 262 cm => Length.

→ 200 + 62 cm.

2 m 62 cm - [Ans]

Therefore, 2 m 62 can is the length of the cloth.

Length of cloth = 2 m 62 cm or 262 cm or 2.62 m

Given :

  • The length of a cloth is 1 m 12 cm more than its width.

  • Width of the cloth is 1 m 50 cm.

To find :

  • Length of cloth.

Solution :

Width of the cloth = 1 m 50 cm

Length of cloth = 1 m 50 cm + 1 m 12 cm

\implies Length of cloth = ( 1 + 1 )m ( 50 + 12 )cm

\implies Length of cloth = 2m 62 cm

Also,

We know that,

1 m = 100 cm

If we convert it in centimetres,

\implies Length of cloth = 2 ( 100 ) cm + 62 cm

\implies Length of cloth = ( 200 + 62 )cm

\implies Length of cloth = 262 cm

If we convert it in metres,

\implies Length of cloth = 2 + ( \dfrac{62}{100} )

\implies Length of cloth = [ 2 + ( 0.62 ) ]m

\implies Length of cloth = 2.62 m
