Given

Dimension of ground :-

  • Length = 70 metres
  • Breadth = 45 metres

Rate of leveling the ground is Rs. 12.50/m².

To Find

Total Cost of leveling the ground.

Formula

Area of a Rectangle = Length × Breadth

Method

We will first calculate the area of rectangle and then calculate the total cost.

Solving

Area of Rectangle = Length × Breadth

Area of Rectangle = 70 m × 45 m

Area of Rectangle = 3150 m²

So, area of the rectangle is 3150 .

Now,

We will use Unitary Method to calculate the total cost.

Rate of leveling the ground is Rs. 12.50/m².

So, cost of leveling 3150 m² will be

3150 m² × Rs. 12.50 / m²

Rs. 39,375

So, total cost of leveling the ground is

Rs. 39,375.

Answer

So, cost of leveling of a rectangular ground with length of 70m and breadth of 45m is Rs. 39,375.

Unitary Method

It is a method in which we first calculate amount for single unit and then calculate for any number of units by multiplying the number of units with rate calculated.
