the length of a hall is 18m and width is 13.5m find the least no of square tiles,each of side 25cm,required to cover thefloor if the hall, a) without leaving any margin b) leaving a margin of width 1.5 m all around

Perimeter of rectangle= 2 (l+b)
= 2 * 18+13.5 cm 
= 2 * 31.5 cm
= 63m
= 6300 cm

Therfore no. of square tiles req = 6300/25
                                                  = 252
