Solution:-
Let the Breadth be x m.
=> Length = ( x + 8) m
=> Perimeter of Rectangle = 2( l + b)
=> 40 = 2( x + 8 + x)
=> 40/2 = 2x + 8
=> 20 = 2x + 8
=> 2x = 20 - 8
=> x = 12/2
=> x = 6m.
=> Breadth = 6m and Length = 14m.
Now. Area of Rectangle = l × b
=> 14 × 6
=> 84 m^2.
Cost for 1m^2 = 12
=> Cost for 84 m^2 = 84 × 12
=> 1008.
