Given :-

  • Length of a parallelogram = 15 cm
  • Breadth of a parallelogram = \bf\large\frac{2}{5} of length.

To find :-

  • Perimeter of the parallelogram

Solution :-

Length is 15 cm, and breadth is \bf\large\frac{2}{5} of length.

Let's find the breadth.

Breadth = \bf\large\frac{2}{5} × 15

Breadth = 2 × 3

Breadth = 6 cm

Breadth of the parallelogram = 6 cm

Now, we can easily solve for the perimeter of the parallelogram using the formula.

\bf{\large{\underline{\boxed{\rm{\red{Perimeter\:of\:parallelogram\:=\:2\:(l\:+\:b) }}}}}}

Plug in the values in the above formula,

Perimeter = 2 ( 15 + 6)

Perimeter = 2 ( 21)

Perimeter = 42 cm

•°•Perimeter of the parallelogram is 42 cm

To verify the answer, we will check whether the breadth of the parallelogram will result in 6 cm after input of the value of perimeter in the formula.

Perimeter = 2 ( l + b)

42 = 2 ( 15 + b)

42 = 2 ( 15) + 2 ( b)

42 = 30 + 2b

42 - 30 = 2b

12 = 2b

\bf\large\frac{12}{2} = b

6 = b

Our answer is hence, right.
