length of another piece 36-x

length of one piece 1/5 (length of another piece)

x=1/5(36-x)

5x=36-x

6x=36

x=6m

length of 1 pieces 6 metre

length of another piece =36-6=30m

product of length of both pieces = 6m×30=180 m²
