The length of a prayer room is 3 metres more than its width. If the area of the room is 36 m², Calculate nearest to one-tenth of a metre, the length and width of the room.​

Answer:

let the width be x,

and it's length be (x+3),

so,

area of rectangle= l×b

36²=x×x+3

36²=(1+1)x² +3

36²=2x²+3

36-3=2x

33=2x

2x=33

x=16.5

width=16.5m

length=16.5+3=19.5m
