Let length of rectangle = x
Breadth = x-11
P= 126
So 2(x+x-11)= 126
4x-22= 126
4x= 148
X= 37
So length = 37cm
And breadth = 26cm

Answer

Length = 26 cm

Breadth = 37 cm

Given

The length of a rectangle exceeds its breadth by 11 cm. The perimeter of the rectangle is 126 cm

To Find

Dimensions

Solution

Let the breadth of the rectangle be " x cm "

A/c , " The length of a rectangle exceeds its breadth by 11 cm "

⇒ Length = ( x + 11 ) cm

We know that ,

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 ( length + breadth )

Given , Perimeter = 126 cm

⇒ 2 ( (x + 11) + x  ) = 126

⇒ x + 11 + x = 63

⇒ 2x = 52

x = 26

So , Breadth of the rectangle = x = 26 cm

Length of the rectangle = x + 11 = 37 cm
