The length of a rectangle is 10 cm, which is 1/3 of its perimeter. Evaluate its perimeter and area.

here given that,

length of the rectangle =10cm

breadth of the rectangle =b

and the length is 1/3rd of it's perimeter

hence perimeter of the rectangle =2(l+b)

hence 10=1/3×2(10+b)

10=1/3×20+2b

hence 10×3=20+2b

30=20+2b

30-20=2b

10=2b

10/2=b

5=b

therefore b=5

perimeter=2(l+b)

=2(10+5)

20+10

=30

Area =l×b

10×5=50
