let the breadth of the rectangle be (x) m

so, the length will be (x + 10)m

given perimeter = 80m

as we know that, perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b)

A/Q => 80 = 2 ( 10 + x + x )
=> 80 = 2 ( 10 + 2x )
=> 80 = 20 + 4x
=> 80 - 20 = 4x
=> 4x = 60
=> x = 60/4 = 15

hence, B = x = 15m
L = 10 + x = 10 + 15 = 25m

ATQ, The length of a rectangle is 10 m more than its breadth and the perimeter of rectangle is given 80 m.

let the breadth of the rectangle be x.

therefore the length of the rectangle is x + 10

we know the formula for the perimeter of a rectangle that is 2 ( l + b ).

=> 2 ( l + b ) = 80m

=> 2 ( x + 10 + x ) = 80m

=> 2x + 10 = 80/2

=> 2x + 10 = 40

=> 2x = 40 - 10

=> 2x = 30

=> x = 30/2

=> x = 15

hence, the breadth of the rectangle is = x = 15m

and the Length of the rectangle is = 10 + x = 10 + 15 = 25m
