Answer:

the answer will be 12 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

let ABCD be rectangle.

LENGTH OF THE RECTANGLE=16

THEREFORE

AB(LENGTH)=16 cm

CD(LENGTH)=16 cm

LENGTH OF BREATH (BC=DA)=?

DIAGONAL (AC=BD)=20 cm

LET ABC A RIGHT ANGLE TRIANGLE.

THEREFORE BY PYTHAGORAS THEOREM

AB^2+BC^2=CA^2 cm

=>16^2+x^2=20^2 cm

=>x^2=20^2-16^2 cm

=>x^2=400-256 cm

=>x=✓400-256 cm

=>x=✓144 cm

=>x=12

THEREFORE BREATH OF THE RECTANGLE IS (BC=DA)=12cm
