the length of a rectangle is 16 cm less than twice its breadth if the perimeter of the rectangle is hundred centimetre find the length and breadth

arman2298: Let's take breadth as x
Then length:2x-16
Perimeter=100
Perimeter: 2(l➕b)
2(2x-16➕x)=100
4x-32➕2x=100
4x+2x=100+32
6x=132
X=132/6
X=22
breadth=22
length=2x-16
=2✖️22-16
=28

Solutions :-

Let the breadth of a rectangle be x
So, Length = 2x - 16

Given : Perimeter of rectangle = 100 cm

Find the length and breath of a rectangle :-

According to the question,
Perimeter of rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)
=> 100 = 2(2x - 16 + x)
=> 100/2 = 3x - 16
=> 50 + 16 = 3x
=> 66/3 = x = 22

Therefore,
Length = 2x - 16 = (2 × 22) - 16 = 28 cm
Breadth = x = 22 cm
