Answer:

Length is 35 meter

Width is 15 meter

Step-by-step explanation:

Given -

The length of a rectangle is 20 meter more than its width.

Perimeter of the rectangle is 100 meter

To find -

The length and width of rectangle.

Solution -

Let,

Width is x

The length of a rectangle is 20 meter more than its width.

Write it as ,

Length(L) = 20+x meter

Width(W) = x meter

As we know that,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(L+W)

Put the given value in these equation

100 = 2( 20+x+x)

100=2(20+2x)

100= 40+4x

100-40 = 4x

60 =4x

Divide both side by 4 we get

x=15

Put the value of x and find the value of length and breath

Length(L) = 20+x meter = 20+15 = 35 meter

Width(W) = x meter = 15 meter

Length is 35 meter

Width is 15 meter.
