The length of a rectangle is 27m longer thanits breath.If the perimeter of the rectangle is 110m,then find its area.

heyaaa!!!!!

let breadth be 'x' m
therefore length = 27+x

perimeter = 2( l+b )
110= 2 ( 27+ x+ x)
110/2 = 27+ 2x
55 = 27+ 2x
55-27 = 2x
28 = 2x
28/2 = x
14 = x = breadth
therefore length = 27+ 14 = 41 m

area = lb
41*14 = 574 m^2

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b) and l=27m and perimeter =110m then put the given values 110=2(27+b) =>110÷2=27+b. =>55=27+b =>55-27=b => b=28 area will be l×b I.e. 27×28=756m ans
