Length rectangle = 3cm. longer than its width.

Rectangle perimeter = 50 cm.

find its dimensions?

P = 2L +2w

L= w + 3

P= 50

P = 2L +2w

50 = 2(3+w)+2(w)

50 =6+2w + 2w

4w= 50 - 6

4w = 44

w = 44/4

w = 11

L= 11 +3 = 14

L= 14

Solution:

Length= 14 cm

Width = 11 cm

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation: let the width be X

then the length will be x+3

according to the problem

2x+2(x+3)=50

4x=50-6

x=44/4

x=11

# the width is 11 & the length 14
