Let the width be b meters
So, the length be 3+b meters
A.T.Q.
2(b+3+b) = 26
=> 2b+6+2b = 26
=> 4b = 26-6
=> 4b = 20
=> b = 20/4
=> b = 5
Therefore,
The width of rec.
= b meters
= 5 meters
The length of rec.
= 3+b meters
= 3+5 meters
= 8 meters
As,
Perimeter of rec.
= 2×(5+8) meters
= 2×13 meters
= 26 meters
