let width of rectangle=x

length=x+3 perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

22=2(x+x+3)

22=2x+2x+6

22-6=4x

16/4=x

x=4

then, width=x=4

length=x+3=4+3=7

i hope its helpful for you....
