let breadth = x

Length = ( thrice the breadth ) = 3x

Area = 300cm Sq

Putting values ,

= length × breadth = Area

= 3x × x = 300

= ${3x} {2}$ = 300

= ${x}^{2}$ = $\frac{300} {3}$

= x = $\sqrt{100}$

= x = 10

Thus,

length = 3x = 3 × 10 = 30cm

breadth = x = 10cm
