Let the width be Xcm
Length = X + 30cm

Given,
2(l+b) = 292
l+b = 146
X +30 + X = 146
2X + 30 = 146
2X = 146-30
X = 116/2
= 58cm
Therefore the width is 58cm and the length is 88cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the width be x

thus length 30 + x

Therefore perimeter = 2(l +b)

292= 2( 30 + x + x)

292/2 - 30 = 2x

(146 - 30)/2 = x

116/2 = x

x = 58 cm Thus width = 58cm length = 30 + 58 cm
