let the width be x then length will be x+3

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

26= 2(x+x+3)

26=2(2x+3)

26/2 = 2x+3

13= 2x+3

13-3=2x

10=2x

10/2=x

5=x

so width= x=5

length = x+3=5+3=8

I hope my answer helps you

thank you

Answer:

13 cm and 16 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the width be x  and length be  ( x + 3 ) .

now, we have,

P e r i m e t e r = 2 ( l + w )

58 c m = 2 ( x + x + 3 )

4 x + 6 = 58 c m

4 x = 52 c m

x = 52 /4 c m

∴ x = 13 c m

So, width =x =13 cm

and, length =x + 3 = 13 cm +3 =16 cm
