Step-by-step explanation:

let width of rectangle be X

length of rectangle be X+4

area of rectangle = length * breadth

X*(X+4)

A/q

X*(X+4) = 96cm ^2

x^2+4x=96cm^2

x^2+4x-96=0

x^2+ 12x-8x-96=0

X(X+12)-8(X+12) = 0

(X+12) (x-8) =0

X=-12. X=8

length cannot never be negative so X=8

length =X=8cm

breadth=X+4=(8+4)cm= 12cm
