the length of a rectangle is 5 cm more than the breadth . of the length is decreased by 1 cm and breadth is increased by 2 cm their ratio becomes 7:6. find the dimensions of the rectangle.

(l-1)/(b+2)=7/6

6l-6 = 7b+14

putting value of l as b+5,

6*(b+5)=7b+20

6b+30 = 7b+20

b = 10

l = 15
