The length of a rectangle is 5cm more than its breadth.If the perimeter of the rectangle is 62cm,find it's area. with steps

B = ?

Premier = 62 CM = P

LXB=P

5x B = 62

B = 62/5

B = 12.5 cm

Then the length will be 5+x.

Perimeter=62cm.

Perimeter =2(l+b)

62=2(x+5+x)

62/2=2x+5

31=2x+5

31-5=2x

26/2=x

x=13

Length=5+x=13+5=18cm.

Breadth=x=13cm.

Area of rectangle=l×b

=18×13

=234
